It seems my wonderful domain server is having a problem. I hope this is resolved soon. Please read some of the essays or archives in the meantime. I plan to get on the phone with them ASAFP [sic].
** UPDATE II ** [20 March]
It is my kid's birthday today. She is eight which makes me feel old as hell. The site is still not functional as far as the 'weblog' is concerned. This annoys me; but there are several other things that are more important than my desire to fight this domain host to get this FTP issue resolved.
For a get well gag gift, a friend sent me an 'anger managment program'; which is a "voo-doo kit". This came with one "voo-doo" doll, 6 pins, and a book. This is not 'real' voo-doo according to the author's disclaimer but intended as a humorous way to deal with the persons that annoy us on a day to day basis. Since it came with just one 'doll' [referred to as a poppet] and some of the "voo-doo" involves chopping the head off of the doll or other means of destruction, my daughter is helping me trace, cut and 'sew' half-assed quality versions of additional poppets.
If nothing else I can maybe try to seek revenge on the neighbor who lets his dog shit in my yard every day. Yes the book has a 'voo-doo for doo-doo'.
It will probably help pass the time and I'll let you know if anything interesting results from it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. It seems blogger is failing to publish to my server. [apparently, publishing via REAL FTP works, and I am not sure at this point what my next step will be. Maybe it is time to relocate to movable type. I don't want to go through any big hassles - my domain server / blogger -- or whatever evil force is at work here is surely beginning to annoy me.
On the brighter side, I am glad I know how to edit HTML in notepad and use ftp client software. [heh ...bleh ... feh]
