Sometimes I am trying too hard to get my point across. I'll stop and ask this. Example: "When you don't update your virus definitions every two weeks or so, you are only protected against the virus infections that existed up to the point that you last updated. I mean, it's like last year's flu shot trying to be helpful this year. Or ... Am I making any sense?"

I say this a LOT. It's a nicer way of telling a person they are full of sh!t, really. Or when someone pays me a compliment I don't feel I really deserve. Most often used when I don't believe what you just told me.
