-| Wake Up...|-
[pardon me but that's MY pillow]Last night, I read until about 9:30 or 10:00... and fell asleep with the book on my chest and glasses in the hand holding the book in place. I must have taken them off to rub my eyes, because my other hand was still on my forehead. I was awakened by the cat, who was desperately trying to let me know that by using all of the pillows to prop myself up to read; I had occupied his sleeping space, as he regularly resides just above my head on my pillow.
Tap-tap-tap.
Tap-tap-tap.
Resentfully, I open one eye just enough to see who or what was attempting in its too-small size to assault me. There he is. Staring me in the face, and tapping my arm with his paw.
Tap-tap.
... he sees me peeking. [darn] Macgnow! he proclaims loudly. If you do not believe that this cat says macgnow, I have a sound file you can download.
Being the nice person that I am, since I am awake anyway, and since I have to get up for some minor relief as it is; I get up and reset the pillows to their normal positions so he can have his spot. I brush my teeth [I can't go back to sleep unless I do, its a compulsive thing].
I get back to the bed to find the dog, splayed out in my spot and the cat above his head. "Get off the bed" [I only have to whisper this, and the dog gets up and goes to his corner where he is intended to sleep.] Then I was asleep again within about fifteen minutes and didn't get up until just before the alarm [within 5 minutes - gotta love it when that happens]!
Now, I am at work-where, apparently, I am not working too hard. I injured my knee - again. I have ice on it and have it on a chair next to me. YES, it is still attached to my body- my FOOT is on the chair so my knee has no pressure put on it. Its about as elevated as its going to get right now. I get to go have it X-rayed soon, its not broken I don't think; since I am not in a great deal of pain or anything. Probably a sprain. Its beginning to swell and I do not wish to try to walk on it. No worries- I've done worse to myself before.
Anyway, I'll be sitting here for a while, doing nothing. Poor supervisor actually gets to go in my place until someone else comes in that can do all the same things He and I can. HE has to work, the poor soul.
