2006 Resolutions Lying to Myself, Again.
It's that time again. Time to sit down and reflect on my life and list all of the things I would like to change about myself and the things I do. This means that, once again, it is time to lie to myself, making several promises and keeping a few of them. So far, I can only come up with ONE resolution. Eat Right - For the past three or four months, I have completely disregarded my doctors' advice and I have been eating sugary, starchy, carbohydrate-rich foods on a regular basis. I have felt the effects of my actions and on a few occasions I have fallen asleep suddenly, sometimes in inappropriate situations; such as at my girlfriend's parents' home after dinner.
Since I have done this sucessfully in the past, it should not be too hard to do it again. As I remember more things about myself that I should work on improving, I will post them.
Have a safe, warm and happy new year!

Response from Zevero
I contacted Zevro about their "RAM", referred to in the post on December 21, 2005. They were kind enough to reply quickly and answer my question: What in the heck IS this thing?Dear Aaron,
Thanks for writing Zevro!
RAM is our newest dry food dispenser, and we have named it the IndispensableT Snack 'n More Dispenser. It holds 13 ounces or approx. 1 liter of dry food, and is suitable for candy, granola, nuts, coffee beans, etc. It's great for the kitchen, living room, home bar or theater, office and more. It's a convenient storage and portion control dispenser (each twist dispenses 1 ounce), and its design allows for as-needed dispensing, so the food stays sanitary and fresh.
I hope that this helped answer your questions, but if not, please feel free to let me know!
All the best,
Lindsay Baker
So, now we know! Hope you are enjoying your holidays as you celebrate them!

Lately...
Lately, I have done a very poor job of keeping up to date on reading weblogs, commenting and other forms of on-line correspondence. While "free time" is not necessarily the reason, MANAGING the "free time" I do have is the only reason I can offer.Lately, I have been tired every waking moment of every day, seemingly without reason; but most nights, I can't seem to turn in at an early enough hour to remedy the tiredness.
Lately, on the nights I do get to bed (earlier), I wake up several times during the night, only managing to get some solid sleep -- uninterrupted for 2 or more hours -- between 2 and 5 in the morning.
Lately, I haven't had much to say about anything - and that is why I have not been writing.

I'm not all that excited about the day I walk up to an ATM, make a withdrawl and the promt (choices) include:
Would you like that in God or Non God money?

Uh...
Just because I am tall, thin and neat; doesn't mean I'm ...(Not that there is anything wrong with that.)
If you are confused, please refer to the comments on the previous post.

Broken Dreams
Right before I woke up this morning, I was dreaming about breakfast. Specifically, eggs, sausage and toasted sourdough.Tim was already there, since it is very common for Tim to crash in my living room. Afterall, my house has free heating (or air conditioning if needed), free meals, and Direct TV with Tivo.
I had taken out the needed items and equipment (electric griddle) to make breakfast.
Tim appeared in the kitchen, ready to help cook. I cleaned up the few items that were in the sink, and as I turned around I saw it happening. He placed the half dozen carton of eggs on the edge of the counter and they took that opportunity as the only escape. Neither one of us could stop them from landing on the floor.

Crashing Cat / Frustrated Pero
Yesterday, Tim announced that the cat was behaving strangely. He carried the cat into my kitchen and placed him on the floor. The cat was walking around stumbling like a drunk. Tim took a blood glucose reading and the cat's glucose was 39. It happened again today; Tim came by to check on the cat and tested him and the cat's reading was 37. He left me a note so that I would know that it happened again and I could test the cat when I got home. Two glucose readings below 40mg/dL (2 mmol/L ) in 2 days. The cat needs to be between 100-200mg/Dl (5-9.9 mmol/L). 37 is potentially lethal. His other symptoms, classic for hypoglycemia included most of the symptoms as listed:
Â? Weakness/lethargyBoth times, we gave the cat Kayro Syrup in order to raise his glucose levels.
Â? Disorientation
Â? Drunken gait (ataxia)
Â? Strange behaviour e.g. aimless wandering, as if searching for food, licking lips
Â? Severe neurological signs e.g. collapse, convulsions, loss of consciousness and eventually death (Thankfully he did not get this far).
I am very frustrated with trying to get the cat regulated. It just seems like he does well for a couple of months and then (wham) something changes and he gets all whacked out. We have another appointment with the vet tomorrow. Hopefully... and this will be my "holiday" (Christmas) wish... we can figure out exactly what the cat needs in order to make him as healthy as possible.

Ready or Not...
It's going to happen. No matter how or what you celebrate; providing you celebrate anything in December, time is almost up. And, like every year -- I haven't even started shopping. I know I
I do not enjoy shopping any time of the year, and it's worse when people are willing to stampede over eachother just to get their greedy hands on a cheap DVD player or laptop that is probably built out of parts that people returned to the manufacturers a year or two ago.In an attempt to get my Merry MoJo Flowing, I have decorated the site (as you may have noticed). So far, that is all the Ho-Ho-Ho I can produce.
